Red Crab Opens in Addison With Spicy Cajun Crawfish and More - Eater Dallas

Red Crab - Juicy Seafood, an East Coast chain that’s big on spicy boiled seafood dishes, will open its first Texas outpost in Addison over the long holiday weekend.

The crustacean-obsessed newcomer is scheduled to start serving on Sunday, January 19, at 4080 Belt Line Road, according to a Facebook post.

The brand’s bounty of boiled seafood options range from blue crab and clams to crawfish and mussels. Those underwater ingredients arrive doused in aromatic Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper, garlic butter, or the “juicy special,” or a combination of all three of the aforementioned sauces.

Customizable heat levels range from “no spice” to “extra hot.” Outside of the seafood boils, the restaurant also serves baskets of fried shrimp and oysters with fries, po’ boys, and classic sides like corn and potatoes.

According to Red Crab’s website, the chain got its start about five years ago in Florida, and has since expanded to 13 locations across its home state and beyond, including restaurants in West Palm Beach, Pensacola, Brooklyn, New York, and Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
